Three piece vs. hinged trees

What trees do you order with your bespoke shoes and why?

Most makers don't give you a choice, I don't think. Lobb St. James does, but I have never used them.

The only three piece trees I have are from Vass. They are nice, but I really don't see the advantage over hinged.

when i asked Tony this question when i ordered my bespoke when he asked which style of tree i was after he promptly replied hinged 3 piece look nice but dont hold the tension as weel as hinged! - with this in mind i went with hinged!
