yes. they are very nice, VERY Italian shoes. for something more subdued, you need to use their bespoke services.

Agree with Matt. The nice thing about the RTW is that they are made in the exact same fashion as the bespoke though not from your own measurments.

Since Paolo is somewhat tardy in delivering my bespoke shoes, I'm hoping I'll be the first to know.

He implied that it would be nect month when Sabino comes back to town..

Scafora wrote me back to tell me that the price for a RTW pair of shoes is an eye-popping $1270! Too rich for my blood, unfortunately, because the shoes are nice and so is the family. Even if that includes VAT, and it does include shipping, I cannot spend more than a thousand dollars for a pair of RTW shoes. My upper limit is probably $800, about what I spent at Edward Green for RTW.

How much are Bemer and Bestetti for RTW?

Sounds like you need to see Tonay Gaziano: Washington, April 13-14, NYC April 18-20

email @ tony@gazianogirling.com

I recommend skipping Edward Green, escalating prices, dreadful customer service, appalling really, in my opinion.

Bemer seems to have two lines of RTW and one is better (and more expensive) than the other. I can't remember exactly, but I will be there for a fitting soon and will try to remember to ask.

I would go with a Vass before a Green anyday.

Couldn't agree more and I love Green. Vass construction is about the best I've seen and the U and F lasts are just about perfection.

Yes I can -- Based on my one experience, the eventual fit is terrible and not worth the price (as low as that is)

Interesting. I'm going on my third prova with Scafora. The first was unwearble, at least two sizes small, the second bette, but still a far cry from perfect. If the third is not right, I'll probably walk away and try my luck elsewhere.
