I can't find it anymore, but some time ago some "minimum wardrobe requirements" were posted.
What are some wardrobe staples for someone who at least gets to experience all four seasons? Here are some thoughts:

Shirts:
Business shirts, styling up to personal choice
Formal shirts
Summer shirts, could be "business-style" but perhaps made from cotton/linen or linen, could have short or half-sleeves, could have collars made to be worn open, could have straight bottom with side slits
Winter shirts made from cotton/wool, cotton/cashmere, cashmere, wool or cashmere/silk
Guayabera shirts
Hawaiian shirts
Shirt with 007-style cocktail cuffs

Footwear
Oxford
Formal, with patent leather
Loafers
Moccasins
JCusey and Co. - ideas?

Outerwear
Winter overcoat
DB Peacoat
Trenchcoat
3/4 Coat

Hats
Monte Cristi Panama
Fedora
Homburg
Motoring hats
MattDeckard and Co. - any ideas?

Pocket squares
Cotton
Linen
Silk
and perhaps blends e.g. cotton/linen

Neckwear
Neckties to your liking
Bow ties for formal occasions
Knit ties

Sleepwear
"Regular" cotton pyjamas
Flannel-finish cotton pyjamas, or pyjamas made from blends used for winter shirts

Knitwear
Scarves
Sweaters
Polo shirts
Knit shirts with Johnny collar
Socks
Underwear(boxers, boxer briefs or briefs)
Undershirts

Generic casual wear
Shorts
Jeans
Corduroy
Uncuffed flat-front trousers

Beachwear
Board shorts

Tailored clothing
Linen summer suit
Shirt-jackets
Basic business suits: charcoal, grey, navy, pinstripe
Other suits: tan
Styles to try: Conduit Cut, Roman, Florentine, Neapolitan

Additional items
Umbrella
Gloves
Driving gloves
Suspenders
Belts
Wallet
Sunglasses
Briefcase

Here is an old list I made for college students looking for an old school look, this may give some ideas for wardrobe.

Which bespoke makers' services would you seek to assemble this wardrobe?
For guayaberas I would think La Casa de las Guayaberas in Miami, which makes custom guayaberas.
Winter shirts?
Hawaiian shirts?
Ventile coat?
Pyjamas?
Casual clothing e.g. jeans?
Swimwear - board shorts?
Conduit Cut - Chittleborough & Morgan?

You know Michael, I do not know how you came up with the minimum wardrobe, but after a year of "dressing up" and with a few adjustments for Philadelphia style (please do not snicker), it has a certain Platonic truth to it, in that the numbers are just as they should be, with one exception: the shoes. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how even the most impoverished dandy can survive with seven pairs of shoes.

The suits, jackets, shirts, etc are right on, at least with my wear patterns.

It's called the minimum wardrobe for a reason. No-one who wears a suit every day could survive with the minimum recommendations either, but the numbers will get you through a week.

I'm sorry that I revive this old thread, but I read about a "minimum wardrobe" post that Alden wrote. It appears that one can only find it in the article section, which access is limited to members.

But I think that this is a very helpful information for new users of thelondonlounge.net. I would rejoice if this article became public.

Sincerely yours
