Gents--
I was able to manage two nights in London on my way back to the USA in April. Looks like I'll be there April 12-14, staying on piccadilly. Finally! haven't been in london since i was a kid.
Suggestions on how to spend my time there?

What-ho,
Other than the more well known museums and galleries I can highly recommend the Wallace Collection on Manchester Square, perhaps fifteen minutes walk from Picadilly:

One would also think that perhaps dinner at Wiltons on Jermyn Streetwould be de rigeur, preceeded perhaps by a trip to Davidoff for a post prandial cigar.

Do stop in at Budd in Picc. arcade. Chatting up
Mr. Rowley is a treat I look forward to during my
annual visit to London. He (along with Manton) is the
last word on formalwear and has an un-matched wit.

If you are visiting museums Tate Modern should be way down your list! Inside it is a nasty building with shockingly little to look at.
The National Gallery and British Museum must come first, each being arguably the most comprehensive and most representative collection of its type in the world. Try the Courtauld Galleries too, just a short walk from the National Gallery.
For a future visit when you may have time to venture to the suburbs seek out the Dulwich Picture Gallery and Kenwood House, each with notable masterpieces.
