Have you tried contacting Leo Bugelli to see if he can send you some clippings. If not, I will contact Giancarlo.

PS One has to love the Casentino coat pictured in this thread. I am tempted, really tempted. At least no one would have a problem finding me while on a long walk in the Sicilian hills.
Bonfanti shirt fabrics
I did receive some swatchedfrom Mr. Bonfanti, and circuitously, from Bugelli several months ago. It is a long story but all his swtach cards made it to me and I returned them intact. I scanned some of them of interest for future orders.
Would you be able to share the scans with the members? I am sure there are a few who would like to see the patterns.
Thanks
Thanks
Bugelli is difficult to deal with at a distance. But had I everything to do over I guess travelling to Florence for a week and having Bugelli make me sahariennes in a variety of winter and summer fabrics, instead of some of the store bought items I accumatated, would have been best. Why pay for jacket construction when you don't need it?

Go on, get one: I think you could carry the look off easily.alden wrote:

BS
I scanned a dozen or so Bonfanti/Bugelli swatches, mostly fancy patterns. The scans are crude, but I am happy to email them as attachments to anyone interested. It is easier for me to reply to an email. The handwritten annotations are from Bugelli's cards with pattern name, number, width, and composition.

Some of those are interesting. The danger of these coats is that - in the wrong hands (or on the wrong shoulders) - they could look ghetto fabulous.alden wrote:There are other colors of Casentino cloth

I am very happy you decided to show us this wonderful example of Florentine tailoring at its very best. You wear it very well indeed.
Cheers
