A brown with a deep crimson red window would be excellent indeed.

Agree, that would be my number one choice as well.smoothjazzone wrote:That sounds really goodalden wrote:Smoothjazz

Brown is trouncing Black 35-19 at halftime.
Lets have some orders for the Black cloth!

Brown! (But I'll take the black as well).alden wrote:Brown is trouncing Black 35-19 at halftime.

The crimson overcheck sounds better than the blue, which is more common in the standard books. So another vote for that!
I rather like the blue with brown, but could be persuaded to take crimson with the black.
My vote is for brown with the crimson overcheck.
Gentlemen
The subscription for the Best of Both tweed is complete. The order will be placed next week. Subscribers should be looking for emails with instructions.
The order will be open the next week or so for any latecomers. Then it will be closed.
The Browns won in a runaway 47-19. Most of the black subscribers have come to the conclusion that it better to join em if you can't beat em...so we will move forward with Brown and crimson window. Should be an outstanding cloth.
Cheers

Gents, I took a day or two away from the computer and am astounded to see what has happened. Haven't you all been busy!
Brown/cream with the crimson sounds terrific, count me in.
So what's on for next week? A heavy 18-22oz tweed that we can have run into Norfolk jackets and breeks? How 'bout a heavy fresco with real guts and porousity. If A&S can run specials, why can't we? Time to flex those creative muscles.

Would it look something like this? I have a pair of trousers like this (RTW RL) and I loe their versatility.alden wrote:Smoothjazz
As it stands the Browns are leading the race. There is just enough to place an order if the members choose one color.
A brown with a deep crimson red window would be excellent indeed.
Let's see what develops and then make a choice together.
Cheers
Wouldn't something like this also be of some interest?

Alden,
Will this version have a blue or crimson overcheck?

Must confess that I really wanted the black. I really hope a black / gray offering wins next time round. (Assuming there is a next time round).alden wrote:Gentlemen

Although, the brown with crimson over-check, looks like a winner.
I would like a POW check with a bold (thick) windowpane, like the one seen here:

A brown, yellow, or green windowpane would be interesting and different. I own a RLPL suit with a bold pink windowpane and love it (first suit spring 2006 collection):

I recognize a lot of LL men like very heavy wool, but for me 11 oz is the best and most practical suitweight.
