All the Grenson's I have are "Stuart's Choice" from Paul Stuart in New York. I have been told that they are made to a slightly higher standard than even the (now discontinued) Grenson Masterpiece line. Then again, I have also been told that they are not.

That said, my own opinion of them is that they are very good shoes, slightly better than C&J, slightly behind EG, but much more attractively priced than EG. I don't know the lasts like I know EG's or even C&J's, but my Grensons have a rounded toe, a bit narrower than the 202, more like the (rarely seen) 707. Very nice.

I was told at Finsbury in Paris that their Richelieux line is made by Grenson "to an Italian design". I have the Diplomat and am very satisfied. It's less than a 'Masterpiece' but very good value and adds variety to my collection.
