Just got a first catalogue from Shipton and Heanage. There were some patent leather pumps with quilted linings for about $200.

Paul Davies was offering a similar product on his last visit for about 200 pounds, available in plain calf or patent. Does anyone have a sense of his supplier, and (more to the point) is his the same as the one feeding the catalogue? This is a somewhat neglected niche in men's shoes, and I can't imagine that there are a lot of players.

C, I haven't seen the catalogues of which you write but can comment that most of the pumps that I've seen in London look made by one house and "outbadged". I bought a patent pair at N&L about three years back for GBP120.
