Hello to all in the London Lounge.

I am new to this forum, or should I say, the lounge, and I had a question, and am looking for guidelines or opinionated answers.

I do not own one of these yet, but I was thinking of purchasing a nice brown sports coat for my less business-like wear, and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on what design or type to get. As I mainly stick with gray Garberdine wool suits, I do not get around to this much.

Any ideas on the design, perhaps a herringbone? I was thinking of that design that Cary Grant wore in the picture with the London Lounge tie thread. What is that design called? If you have any ideas, or know that thatched design look, please respond.

Up spirits,

Dr. Jones

I have a brown/charcoal herringbone coat in cashmere with patch pockets that I wear all the time. It works well with almost any style trouser and shoe. I say go for it!

A brown herringbone Harris tweed is classis. Isles Textile Group in New York had cloth in 14 oz.
