there appears to be at least five exceptional shoemakers in London-Gaziano, Amesbury, Clevererly,Lobb, Paul Davis(Ithe london shoemaker)and several in Paris and even in Oslo and Sweden

but there is no one in the US? that's a failure of capitalism if there ever was one since they all sell here-

There are tales of magnificent work being done at Vincent & Edgar. Oliver Moore also has some reputation, although for whatever reason they don't always get put in the top drawer.
