I am a 6 and 7 / 8 (US) so, unfortunately, my excess stock will not fit you. There is an ebayer who is selling a supply of NOS Borsalinos from Bulgaria that are of very high quality and in excellent, unworn condition. Bulgaria is closer to you than to me and there is no reason why he wont ship to you. He lists them in waves and currently has one listed that might be in your size. I would look for his listings every week or so - the seller id is 1001pc . I am sorry I don’t have any that will fit you.
Dopey - thank you anyway for the offer and for taking the trouble to check - it is genuinely appreciated. I often wish I was a 6 7/8 when I consider the number of good hats that appear in shops and at auction in this size, from top hats downwards. I shall certainly check out the seller that you mention. By the way, this prompts me to posit a general question; if members were to have only one hat, what colour and type would it be? For me it would have to be a grey fedora of fairly modest dimensions. My first two or three hats were grey and after a digression into blue brown and black I am now rediscovering their elegance and versatility.
Anthony.

If I only had one hat, I would like a certain color that Steve Delk (of Indiana Jones' Adventurebilt fame) has obtained. It isn't brown nor gray. It's a sort of taupe middle color that goes with gray clothes as well as brown clothes depending on the color the ribbon.
If they still made Cavanagh edges, I would have a 2 1/2" brim with a Cavanagh edge and a pretty tall, untapered crown (worn with a jaunty tilt to the left).

In slight contradiction to my last post on this topic, whilst I was in York over the weekend (my wife was assisting singing the services in the Minister) I wandered into "The Hat Shop" and, to cut a long story short, bought myself a Christy's "Knightsbridge" fedora in beige with a dark brown band and I am delighted with its versatility, so much so that it is bidding fair to become my favourite hat.
