Anton Herman Gerard "Anthony" Fokker in 1912 (HERE).In his autobiography [i]The Flying Dutchman[/i] (1931), Anthony Fokker wrote:I only started to construct aeroplanes because there seemed to be no one designing exactly the machine I wanted. Without the help of others I learned to fly it.
