Cordings recovering after fire

I was in Piccadilly just before Christmas and found that Cordings was closed due to a problem caused by roadworks. Over the last few weeks, I had noticed that the Cordings website has withdrawn most of its stock from sale. I popped in this afternoon for some corduroys but the choice was very limited.

The shop, having been closed for three weeks, is only now re-stocking after a electrical fire in the basement that was caused by flooding. Nearly all the pre-Christmas stock suffered smoke damage and was withdrawn from sale. More stock should arrive within the next week or so but it will take a few more weeks before normal service is resumed.
