The week of November 2nd is the so called Development Week. Basically it's a week off.
I want to spend this time traveling around Britain. Where should I go? What should I do?
Also if anyone knows of a good place to spend Bonfire Night, advice would be welcome. Thanks

For Bonfire night Alexandra Palace used to be excellent as they have a good display and all of London is laid out beneath you. There is also a train station there. As for the rest - it's a tall order - but, maybe, visit Edinburgh and then Isles of Scilly - but go by boat; I'd also recommend (in no particular order): the Norfolk Broads; Oxford; Cambridge; York; Bristol; Exeter; Truro; Padstow; Duke's Hotel; The American Bar in the Savoy; Simpson's-in-the-Strand; the Mitre Tavern in Hatton Garden; join Crockford's in Curzon Street; mill around Piccadilly, Jermyn Street; Savile Row; St James's Street and after a night on the tiles, have breakfast, at 5 am in a greasy spoon in Smithfield Market!

Would highly recommend taking a car by ferry to Skye and from there to Harris and Lewis; the last great wild area of far western Europe. Great scenery and very kind people. Did I mention "sheep" ? Also, can visit Harris Tweed weavers in their litle workshops.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've already been to many of the places mentioned and they are worth going to. I'm planning go to Norfolk, basing myself in Norwich and take day trips.

Norfolk is a flat dull county for the most part although Norwich, Holkham and Burnham Market relieve the tedium. You day trips might include Cambridge, Duxford (if you are into vintage aviation) and Bury St Edmunds/Ikworth House.

I wonder if there is a girlfriend drawing you to such a remote corner of the country?

Acually its Stephen Fry in Kingdom. Besides, its one of the few regions of England I have yet to visit.
