Dear Mr Hayes,
being a member of the NAWCC since 1994, I would like to recommend a british born watchmaker who has done some quite remarkable restorations of bubblebacks and will be pleased to give you some refernce details. He is located in Texas, though, has reasonable prices and, of course, a master watchmaker. You will find his website at

You can try:
Superior Watch: http://www.superiorwatch.com/
RGM: http://www.rgmwatches.com/repair.html
Swiss Watchland: http://www.swisswatchland.com/
I have not had experience with any of them but I have heard good things about all three. Jack Freedman of Superior Watch is well respected in internet watch forums, while RGM also makes its own lines of watches in addition to restoration and repair.

what happened was that I bought an old rolex on e-bay and it was in bad repair, I wanted to find it how to get it fixed but paypal made him take it back-
so, I have a new question, where is the best place to go to buy old rolexes-I think Aaron Faber is overpriced

Dear Mr. Hayes:
My first thought was e-bay, but we can see what happened there.
So maybe this could help.

You may go to www.bidtheewell.com and go to to the "pre-owned" link. Quite a selection.
James Dowling is one of the foremost Rolex experts/dealers in the English language world, and he maintains a site at http://www.ukwatches.com/. His prices tend to be higher than anyone else's, but the condition of what he offers is always top notch; furthemore the rarity of his watches are more often than not outstanding.
