Shoe care in London

Hi chaps,
anyone has a good shoe care service here in London to recommend? I have a few pairs that need some TL&C.

Is the jaunty flaneur still in business? Last I heard he was working out of the Cad & The Dandy space on Savile Row. Maybe drop James Sleater a line?

The guy running the Snob Shop had a preference for a place behind St James, but that moved out to one of the burbs. If you have time to use the post, that might be worth tracking down.

Thanks Andy - Yes, he is, and indeed he is just upstairs from C&TD. I've used Tom from JF before, and while he is good, he is not amazing, to be honest. I'm trying to see if there's something a bit better out there.

Do you remember anything else? I'm searching but can't find any solid leads. There's Tony's heel bar, which was in Crown Passage, now in Kentish Town. Perhaps this is the one you mean?

I wish I could find the emails where the original ID was made. I'd tried to find the place in Crown Passage, and nobody there had forwarding info.

a question popped into my mind, when do you throw out the shoes??
I have two pairs of EG shoes, where the top leather is a little broken where the crease from walking is... I love the shoes, can't part with them, but are they still worth re-soling?

Why not contact EG to ask if their recrafting service could repair it? It's far from cheap, but could give your shoes a new lease on life.
