This is a Pinewood Studios delightfully old-fashioned war film based on true events. For those familiar with the Graf Spee story, it´s amazing to see how accurate this production is for a 1950´s film. A pleasure to see a cast with Peter Finch, Anthony Quayle, Bernard Lee, Patrick MacNee, Christopher Lee, etc.

Go see Matrimonio all'italiana on the big screen, where Sophia Loren's beauty, Naples' vistas, and Marcello Mastroianni's style render beautifully.

Mastroianni's wardrobe is a treat, as is his character's attachment to it: when pressed by Loren to recall the night when he would have fathered one of her children, all he could do to muster up a guess was ask, "Which suit was I wearing?"

Having recently seen "Le Bal des Vampires" musical, I was in the mood for revisiting the original film from 1967. My 12 y.o. son thought it boring. I think it´s delightful.
