A beautiful pen, UC, especially in celluloid, to which I've not given due consideration. I would love to have one, but that may have to wait for a time.
My collection is limited to just two brands the OMAS 360 fountain Pen and Ball point. The other is a Montegrapper - fountain pen and rollerball. On the subject of leakage from the fountain pen. I recentenly had the Montegrapper serviced due to it leaking. I was told most severely NOT to transport it by plane under any circumstances.I recall the bill was £90.00
How do you up load photos onto this subject -so far failed miserably
Create a free account at photobucket / imageshack / flickr etc., upload your pictures then get a link which you cut and paste between the image placeholders (click on the "Img" button when you compose your note).Dr T wrote:How do you up load photos onto this subject -so far failed miserably
Rob, many thanks. Im in Paris at the moment and am looking forward to visiting Plume & Bille, its supposed to be one of the best pen shops in the world -photos to follow.
I have used Pelikan pens most of my life and never had a problem with a leak. And they function flawlessly.
I currently use a Lamy. Inexpensive but I like how it writes and fits my hand. I've had an old Parker (late 1920s) and nothing I've tried ever since compares. Those old flexible gold nibs were really something, they surely had different standards back then. Not that I would want to encourage anyone to get an antique pen, it's too much of a risk.
Second vote for a Lamy, albeit with an italic nib. Inexpensive and reliable!
Just got two "diplomats" in the mail the other day. Quite nice adn not "obvious".
I have a large Delta Dolcevita Ballpoint bought in Bologna. Lurid orange colour but very fond of it. Also use a hexagonal silver Yard O Led. Bought at Heathrow , prior to said trip to Bologna. Very fond also of a Lamy 2000 ballpoint.
Rob -do you know if anyone in the UK does nib customisation? Im a left hander and this service would be perfect for me.
Charles I was looking at a Delta Dolcevita today - great looking pen and I love the colour.

Dr T, yes, I can recommend Niche Pens for this job. They did a superlative job with my pen:
