Greetings -
Well, due to alleged snoring, my wife has decided I should move to the guest bedroom. I did protest, but actually I'm looking forward to once again having my own private quarters.
It is a nice sized room and I'd like to decorate it in the style of an Edwardian gentleman's dressing room / bedroom. There is plenty of space for a twin sized daybed, settee sofa and a couple of chairs, two bureaus and a few odd tables. The closet is ok so a standing wardrobe is called for.
I'm in search of some pictures to give me some ideas. I've done a few google searches with no real success. Please post any pictures or ideas that you may have.
I'll be in London next week making the rounds, so if there are any shops that you think might provide inspiration, please advise.
This should be a fun project and I will share the progress with you.
Many thanks.
Cheers, st.tully
Dressing Room / Bedroom Design
Dear St. Tully,
allow me to express my sympathy and compassion first. I snore a bit as well; but fortunately there is no wife to kick me out of the bedroom
You might find a few things on this site: http://www.sellingantiques.co.uk/
January is usually a good month for buying antiques at good prices.
Good luck and cheers, david

David, Thank you for that website - some great pieces there to give ideas. I'm stateside so shipping would be formidable. I have read that Anderson and Sheppard's new haberdashery has a very nice aura so I may find some inspiration there. Cheers, st.t.
