I discovered today a note to the effect that Emily Post's father, Bruce Price, had been one of Pierre Lorillard IV's architects in relation to Tuxedo Park NY. I have also just received a copy of a statement by J Earle Stevens Jr (filed in the Tuxedo Park Library). He became a long-time Tuxedo Park resident. The statement records Grenville Kane's recollections, as a founding member of the Tuxedo Park Club, of the parts played by the Lorillards and James Potter in the naming of the Tuxedo dinner jacket. I'll post this once I am satisified that there is no more material to sift.

Forgive my ignorance, but was (or is) Tuxedo Park? A town, a village, a country club? and where is (was) it? Long Island?

A curious European  .

Ah, so it's on the Joisey side!

For some reason, I thought it might be on Long Island.

Thank you.
