Would any members care to make recommendations for my friend and me and our wives
to have dinner and possibly dance in New York this New Year. We are mature, well we are advanced in years if not actually mature in a wider sense, visitors from the UK. The Algonquin? Hotels in the Central Park area?[/code]

You could try the Rainbow Room on the top of the Rockefeller Centre, I think it's one of the few establishments in New York which still advertises dinner and dancing. The Rainbow Room has fantastic views of Manhattan, however, the food is of quite a poor standard and it is also quite expensive. You are really paying for the view so be warned this is not the perfect destination. Try www.rainbowroom.com. Members who are based in New York may of course have other ideas.....

Then again, you could always mix in with the mob at Times Square.

For a nice meal try 21 Club or The Four Seasons.

No matter where you eat make sure to make reservations.
