Creed Green Irish Tweed
I recently received as a gift a 4 ounce bottle of my trusty GIT. I noticed, however, that the box had an insert printed in what appears to me to be Arabic script, and that the bottom of the bottle has a little sticker, similarly with this script. The rest of the outer container and bottle are spot on, as is the fragrance. Just curious as to the significance of this, as the (many) other prior bottles have not had this difference. Thanks in advance.....
A label partly in Arabic indicates an attempt to sell to Arabic-speakers, I'd suppose. If I remember correctly, there's nothing in the Koran prohibiting men from wearing scent. And some Arabic speakers never converted to Islam in the first place.

Christian Arabs are often overlooked by the world - the Lebanese Christians, for example. I have some Lebanese Christian friends and they speak many languages, obviously including Arabic and, so far as I know, Arab men, whether Christian or Muslim (or indeed Zoroastrian, come to that), wear scent; and, although some Muslims do wear alcohol-based products, even some liberal Muslims will prefer oil-based scents if available. Whether the Koran goes so far as to deprecate alcohol in scent is more than I could say!

They're probably also selling Creed GIT in Dubai as well.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe Cary Grant was a user of Creed GIT.

It's definitely sold in the UAE, Bahrain and Saudi, as are a number of other Creed products.Cufflink79 wrote:They're probably also selling Creed GIT in Dubai as well.

Cheers,

Gentlemen:
The Cary Grant reference seems correct. Aqua di Parma claims Cary Grant used their scent. One reference claims he wore a scent by Floris called "New Mown Hay", which apparently is no longer made. Does anyone know of a scent comparable to "New Mown Hay"? He was a Faberge spokesman. Was this the Faberge that makes the "Brut" line of products?
