First they stop us smoking in public (and also, to an extent, in private) and now they're going to make us wear flip-flops: and all for the sake of the health of the nations!

I wonder how long it takes to make lasts for these and whether Henry Maxwell has any precedents for making them up in 'gator. Probably just kid - soft and tight.

A few decades ago, I was in Honolulu's China Town peacefully wearing flip flops to watch a film show. A gang of macho goons kicked our car door over a parking lot incident. We were fortunate to escape from the scene with our lives Lesson learnt: In America's unsafe urban setting, make sure you wear shoes tough enough to kill a worm if need be.
