Given the dismal outlook for publishing these days, the 'new' Flusser book may indeed simply be a reprint,
or it might be an updated version interspersed with new entries for makers and sources to replace their counterparts who have shuttered their shops or bit the dust. Funny thing about retailers at the end of
their run, they often resort to loading their racks and fixtures with inferior merchandise at marked-up
prices. It's known as being a gonif.

I've heard from a friend of his that he is researching a new book now. I'm not 100% sure of the subject, so I won't venture a guess.

You can now preorder the book for $10.12. We'll see how much of it is new... Considering that about 3/4 of the old edition was a shopping guide filled with addresses, I hope he has updated this section in his new edition.

Ralph Lauren asked Flusser to write his biography. So maybe that will be the new book.
