Brooks Brothers v. J. Press v. Custom Shop
Does anyone have any comments or experiences about the made-to-measure suits offered by the following three shops: Brooks Brothers, J. Press, and the Custom Shop? Thanks.
Both Brooks and J. Press have their MTM made by Martin Greenfield. I think that the products are pretty much identical.
Brooks has a "collection" of cloths which include some English and mostly Italian. J. Press offers the unabridged books of the English, such as Harrison and Smith.
J. Press is a little lower in price than Brooks.
J. Press' MTM man is Jay Walter, one of the best in the business. He used to head Brooks MTM for 25 years. I would recommend J. Press over Brooks.
I cannot comment on the Custom Shop except that it is not the original Custom Shop which Mortimer Levitt founded.
Good luck!
