What do you think of the rather noticeable handmade details in some neapolitan TRW or MTM shirts such as Barba, Borrelli, etc? Traditional and thus proper or obstentatious and thus tacky?

Moreover, would you have such details on a button-down shirt?

Finally, is a single breast pocket acceptable in a button-down oxford shirt?

Commercially-produced button-down shirts often do sport a singel breast pocket; so, yes, it's fine.

Personally, I don't like shirt pockets at all. They spoil the line of the shirt and are essentially not particualrly useful.

Well, commercially produced things sport a lot of details that are best avoided, so that's hardly an argument for breast pockets even on BD shirts.

All my button down shirts have a single breast pocket on the left.
I only have two breast pockets with flaps on a couple of sporty, short-sleeved linen shirts.
