Sourcing best corduroy for bespoke?

Gents -

I am looking to source my own corduroy to take to my tailor, for a bespoke pair of pants.

I need a heavweight navy blue corduroy, fairly chunky wale (definitely not needlecord)

(I tend to buy cloth directly, rather than tailor to avoid mark up)

Manufacturer and supplier.. thoughts?

Look forward to your recommendations...

P.S. Based "up North"

Cheers

Zegna used to do a fantastic washed corduroy -- not sure whether it's still in production.

Many Italian tailors have swatches of Velluto Duca Visconti di Modrone, but it's nothing special.

I've just received cloth for trousers from http://www.brisbanemoss.co.uk/

Good quality, no extreme prices.

Why is this thread in the anonymous forum? I don't think there is anything to be ashamed of about sourcing corduroy for bespoke garments. I rarely look here and so it is likely to overlooked by me. Here is a good source:

It's of decent weight too. The 23 Oz stuff looks especially scrumptious.

The reason might be that they don't have a sales representative in Denmark, but I don't know. I just wrote this address: sales@brisbanemoss.co.uk
