First, do you want a whole book or a good chapter? Secondly, are you looking for a bit of history when you consider how to build a selection of useful hats or not?

Anything really. Yes history would be great!! I was actually thinking of something in the style of 'Handmade Shoes for Men-Laszlo Vass'. Is there a book like that but for shoes?
Thanks

There is "Mr Lock of St James's Street" by Frank Whitbourn (Heinemann, 1971) which I believe that they sometimes have in Lock's shop - out of date in one or two respects - for example, they have since discovered that Beau Brummell was a customer, after all - still overall a comprehensive book on most things to be known about modern hats and some history too.

Sometimes also seen in secondhand bookshops - and it was written by a Lock family member.
