I am looking for a small tailor's thimble, 12mm in diameter. I have tried Ebay and some other sites online. Is there a shop that would sell a thimble that small? I have tried a few haberdasheries but they stock dressmaker thimbles that are too big.

Should all else fail, a silversmith could easily make a thimble to your exact requirements.

If you're in NY come and see me. I can get one for you and might even have one that fits you can take.

I have no idea where to look for a silversmith but I'll give it a go.

Thank you for your kind offer Mr. Logsdail. I live in Ireland and I dont think I will be going on holidays this year. Perhaps I will make it over to New York next year, I would love to come and visit you.

Hello, Wendy!

Some of my female tailor colleagues have slender fingers as well!
I can ask them where they got theirs and send you one. Do you want a closed(dressmaker) or open version? That's important, because it's different names in german!
In case I find one, I'll send it to you!

SG(schneidergott) in case you want to send me a pm!
