Hi,

What are the buttons in the back of a morning coat or a tailcoat supposed to be made of?

On a morning coat they will be made of the same material as the rest - horn; mother of pearl or synthetic. On an evening coat they will also be the same as the rest - usually silk covered, horn or synthetic.
