One vs. two

Hello all:

A thought was running through my mind adout the number of holes in a button.

Most suit/sportcoat buttons have four holes in them, but I have noticed on many Savile Row made suits that there are two holes.

Is there a reason for that, or is that just a style preference?

Best Regards,

I just realized, I misspelled the word "about" and wrote the title wrong.

The title ment to say Four vs. two.

Sorry about that. :)

Purely out of curiosity (and I have seen Uppercase do this too), why post in the anonymous section and post your username?

The moderator, Michael Alden, asked that postings even to this section be signed if that might be done without embarrassment.

That logic does apply to the folks replying but not to those posing the "anonymous" questions unless those asking the questions are looking for anonymous replies :?
