I have heard that a linen blend (30% cotton, 70% linen) actually wears cooler than 100% linen. I find that quite hard to believe.
Also, when ordering linen shirts, what colors come to mind besides white and blue and variations thereof?

Can't offer an opinion about the coolness of a blend. If it's ninety-five and humid, nothing feels that cool, to me.
Regarding colors . . . how about 'natural,' or a pale gray or beige? Taupe is a beautiful, neutral. I like sage green, as well.

I've seen some stunning reds - in the SIC Tess book I believe.

I've worn both blended and pure-linen shirts and find the pure cooler. But the difference is small enough that my perception may have been actuated more by psychology than by physiology.
