I have come to like besom pockets without flaps since it is a cleaner, slimmer, and more elegant look. I have also come to like them for SB.

I recall reading that some find that the besom pocket can sag with age and that the flap covers-up this.

I don't carry anything in my outter pockets, therefore will I have less of a sag problem?

Have you found sagging besom pockets to be a problem? Should I re-consider besom pockets for my suits?

it will sag if you, like Prince Charles, have the habit of putting your hands in your pockets. But I guess he doesn't care...when they sag, he probably throws them away...??

Alden once posted that he preferred flaps for just that reason. That is solid advice to me.

I believe he is far too thrifty to give them up over some pocket sag.
