Things had been going reasonably well as I studied my back-neck, balance and swelled seam tutorials and I thought to myself that I was progressing nicely.

Perhaps I was finallly ready to make my LL pictorial debut, searching for someone to photograph me, posing front and back in measured sequence in my bespoke creation.

But then I realized, when looking at my photos, that despite such long study, often late into the night, that things had gone a bit awry.

The buttoning point was all wrong, the damn patterns did not match up properly, the vents popped open and the lapels did not have the belly that I had ordered. .

Dear God, back to the sartorial drawing board.....if I can stand it any longer.

The anguish of bespoke has taken a heavy toll and made me weary. UC

Happy Halloween, one day late, dear bespoke ghoul. The coat looks awfully good to have created such anxiety, vero?

Handwoven tweed and a gerbil - that is a look I have not seen before.

Did you try a beer before sitting in front of the drawing board? :lol
Don't let the fun be spoiled by too stubborn a search for perfection. Come on, exorcise your frustration, let us see what causes you such dismay with this beautiful coat...

I like the cloth whereas the sleeves are by far too big and long...

Anyone in possession of such lustrous curly locks cannot be too dissatisfied with his lot. However, the nutria (gerbil) trim you ordered appears unfinished, and may we recommend a different glover?

Never knew you were such a handsome  devil  UC. No wonder you don't need to go through all the pain toblack out your face.

I, for one, like the coat very much.

Ghoulie-case, you are not alone. I've recently been discovering that bespoke is ruinous to a youthful complexion.

From the club of the damned,

Yes, bespoke has changed my life.

My features have imperceptably changed from excessive study, anxiety and occassional anguish as I've stalked the world's sartorial capitals, looking for answers to unknown questions.

My skin has become pasty as I now only dare come out at night, afraid of scrutiny of some perceived faux pas in my appearance.

My grooming has suffered as my hair has grown long. (Though, to some, lustrous, curly and quite adorable, to be sure) But nonethless, unkempt and unbecoming a gentleman. As advised in LL's Grooming section.

Though I now smell nicely of leather and exotic woods , if only much beloved by my rat.

Most seriously, I now frighten the neighborhood children as they run in terror at the sight of my pouchette and I suffer when I hear their parents whisper....."perv".

Could it be that my colors don't coordinate properly...? UC
