What's your preferred toe shape?

Does one shape go better with a type of outfit, say round for country, chisel for city?

Used to be a strong partisan of the chisel, now gravitating toward round. I do think the chisel is a more "citified" shoe, but that could just be an irrational prejudice. The rounded toe done well works with pretty much any model/

Another consideration that may affect someone's choice is the width of their feet. The wider the foot, the wider the squared-off part of the toe-box of a chisel-toed shoe, unless the shoe is made longer than necessary. A wide chisel-toed shoe will be significantly less attractive than a wide round-toed shoe.

Regarding usage rules, I just think that a chisel-toed country boot might look weird.

Regarding usage rules, I just think that a chisel-toed country boot might look weird...but a well executed country shoe like the one found in the link below can be quite nice. Note that the heavier grained leather gives a more rounded appearance to the chisel.
