My new favorite is to acquire some scarves - not wool and cashmere for warmth and winter but rather decorative as accessories.
Other than Drakes (I’ve already got a few of theirs and they are excellent all around ), do you have any recommended sources ??
TIA

Linen scarves are an excellent option but I haven’t yet found a stylish, high-quality supplier.

I have a nice single-layer silk paisley from Jungmann & Neffe in Vienna. Also suitable for cold weather.
Sam Hober has some interesting decorative options, and will also make you one from tie silk (or linen...).

I like linen scarves.
All you have to do is order some from the LL book and take it to a seamstress to make a simple scarf.
Cheers

Yes, there are not really many sources.

Gentlemen,
I would add Anderson & Sheppard and Rubinacci if you love some colour and glamour

Good point Michael,
I’m hoping the book will wend its way to my house presently.

This AS site has to be the worst I’ve seen in the modern age.

The Neapolitan shop Calabrese1924 has some beauties.
But how to buy them??

In a desperate attempt to scour the Internet world for a compelling scarf, I floundered upon The Armoury.
THE ARMOURY.
i.e., a secure place for the storage of weapons.
????
All that I find there of interest are a few pieces from the Turkish sisters’ firm ( and I support all our sisters ) Rumisu which are creative and interesting and indeed subtle.
Very nice. At 157 cms. I think that they are quite decorative and suggest an untold story worth wearing.

Yes, davidhuh, the AS shop is fantastical.
And if I remember her, Audie, ?, is a gem who made me want to buy the whole shop just to linger a while longer. The softest voice I have ever heard.
What a lovely shop and experience there. The shop perfume was otherworldly.

Here we go: the source for patterned scarves was in plain sight : The Rake.
Who knew that the magazine had such a great shopping site for patterned scarves and other items!!
I picked up a few scarves this week through The Rake in linen and light wool
- these from Calabrese 1924 - for the coming seasons.
Superb!
Other scarf makers are also offered as well on The Rake.
Plus First class customer experience !!

Ofcourse Begg for cashmere scarves is always fantastic. Outstanding quality. But not much there of interest in patterned scarves.
But do need to get their ribbed cashmere Alex hat in Natural now because of the uncomfortable prolonged winds hitting the ears these days. Cashmere always the best protection for this purpose.
For me, it appears in the last few years, that purchases have been generally about getting one solid bespoke foundation piece but ten accessories. That’s where the fun is.

...and here’s another online source specializing in Neapolitan made accessories including scarves which I bumped into today:
http://www.zampadigallina.com/calabrese ... carves.htm
I have no experience transacting with this company.
FYI.
