Where can you buy a nice blue one along the lines that Michael Drake is pictured wearing over on the Drakes website?
TIA

Lots of sources for bleu de travail—I'm sure Alden has a favorite. Le Laboureur makes nice ones, in Bugatti blue or navy cotton drill, or moleskin or wool in various colors if you want to depart from tradition. Patina à la Michael Drake's is up to you . . . .

IF I remember correctly, Old Henry made one up for himself but I can’t find the thread

Does this differ from the 'forestiere' (beloved of Francois Fillon, as supplied by Arny's?)

Similar function, but slightly different styling (turn-down collar vs. band or mandarin, some pocket details). The bleu de travail is just the jacket version of the bleus de travail overalls still seen on French workmen. So not usually lined, and needn't be nearly so expensive as the Arny's corduroy Forestiere (though of course they can be executed in fancier materials, as in the wool version at Le Labourer). Michael Drake's just looks like an unlined navy cotton version washed several times and not pressed.

Its off-topic but the Private White linen field jacket seeme to me to be a more stylish option. They will happily customise your jacket too.

Plenty on ebay. They are overalls after all.

Yes, RobO, that privatewhite is nice.
I need the pockets for travel.
Cool, lightweight linen would be a big plus.
Thanks.

An old French farmer gave me one of those. I love it.

A sure sign that the humble worker's jacket has become trendy.

 Isn't that always the way. Anyway, I thought this forum was about bespoke clothing!
