I don't know… what would you prefer…the I or the II.

John Lobb, that is.

Not sure which is the more attractive last, I or II.

I do like the I with the brown buffalo meleze (this is not buffalo, only stamped leather).
While I don't really like the II with brown museum calf.

(I want brown for this shoe).

But the II is a bit more sleek, 'updated ' as JL puts it…

Neither.

A single buckle shoe is so much more elegant.

Very interesting.

Any particular make and model. ?

It's a Christmas gift to myself …

My two cents: if I were going to get a single-buckle shoe from JL, I'd likely go with the Redmire in claret. But I tend to like my shoes simple.

And, might I add that I wholly support holiday gifts from oneself to oneself!

Yes, that's a great looking monk.
Also would like a monk in suede.…adds a whole new dimension to an otherwise
conservative outfit.

Yes. I am a fan of suede shoes too.

Maybe we should think of doing a special edition LL tobacco suede monk.

Cheers

I like the idea of a suede monk strap, especially with a round toe.

Slightly off topic, it might be useful to make a gallery of past LL shoes in order to promote interest in making new ones.
