Edward Green Brunt Pine

I really like this color especially with medium to light grey suiting. However, I have been less than satisfied with the way my two pair look after polishing as the final color seems smeared. Can anyone advise? I have been using a Meltonian shoe cream called "medium brown" and sometimes "fashion brown".

You might try polishing with a variety of colors to create depth in the patina...a bit of blue and then one day some red...in addition to the browns.

I would suggest using neutral polish only, unless there are deep, visible cracks in the leather. That's what I learned from someone who makes a living by polishing the shoes he makes. It works for me.

Shoe-polish manufacturers will tell you to prepare the leather with 2 leather balsams and one leather cleaner, polish with a mix of 7 different shades of paste, finish with one cream and protect with 2 very good products...
