Shorter scarves (where to find one?)
Who makes a cashmere scarf that isn't as long and thick ('king size') as all of the ones I'm seeing in the shops? I would love to have one or two plain ones that I can casually tie around my neck without having a lot of bulk on a my chest and without having the scarf showing up at the bottom of my jacket. Any advice?
Not sure what you would consider as long and thick but my favourite cashmere scarf is made by Begg who now have a transactional website, http://www.beggandcompany.com
which I am pleased about as I don't know of a shop that stocks their full colour range. Their smallest scarf they call a muffler scarf and measures 30cm by 150cm, is that suitable?

Thank you Andy. I consider this to be still on the longer side of the spectrum. But I have to agree that the Begg mufflers looks quite good.
I wear a Brora cashmere scarf most of the time this weather; even cravat style under an open necked shirt.
Like a polo neck jumper it is very difficult to take off once you have begun to use it.
The scarf is about 4ft. long X 7inches wide, but is quite skinny and not too bulky.
Brora seem to have to have them from time to time ; If you ring a shop they will help Im sure.
They don't seem to appear in their catalogue but they dug one out for me last time I lost one and had to replace.

Well done Rob,
Thats the sort of thing.
Mine is quite a lot shorter and therefore less bulky.
The first Brora I had was about 2 ft., bit like a cravat.

Thanks gentlemen. Something in between the muffler and the cravat might be the correct way to describe what I am looking for. The search continues, maybe for a 'vintage' Brora.
