The canvas belt with leather 'greca' clasp as worn by Buster Keaton, Agnelli, the Agnelli clique (LCdM and son Matteo, Diego Della Valle etc) is sold by Tod's but rather pricey considering its a only a piece of canvas with a strip of leather added. Given the fact that Keaton and Agnelli wore the belt style long before it was ever introduced into the Tod's collection (the late 1990s), plus the fact that Della Valle's modus operandi is like that of Ralph Lauren, i.e. approriation and smart mass marketing with hefty label premia -- I am convinced there must be more authentic and affordable alternatives out there. Anybody got sources?
