Do any LL members have experience with both of these fabrics and can speak to the relative merits of one vs. the other? Both are high-twist warm weather cloth with weight of about 310g.

Hi Rodes, I have a suit out of both. They are totally different cloths. As you probably know fresco cloth is coarse, somewhat stiff and has a somewhat mottled surface. The Dugdale stuff is very supple, more soft and has a smooth finish. The style I chose (mid grey nail head) even is slightly stretchy. Another main difference is that fresco truly breathes, to the extent that the slightest breeze can be felt on the legs (through the jacket not so much). Same goes for a drop of rain. With the Dugdale I don't feel much of this effect at all. This one also creases quite easily, though not so easy as other light weight cloth. The fresco hardly creases! Both suits are still new, but I expect the one out of fresco to last longer as the fabric seems much tougher. Be warned about unlined fresco trousers (which seems the only just way to have them made) though: on a sweaty leg they can be rough and feel uncomfortable.

T.K. has said it all.
This Cutter and Tailor thread is simply wrong. Well, it's the internet.

After having read the article I am curious as to why you say that the cutter and tailor article is simply wrong.... it seems to provide a balance picture and offers another option, for people who do not like fresco or it's limited selection I know that there is a lot fluffy on the the internet, but there is a lot of good also, i.e. the London Lounge.

Dear BESPOKE62,
Please carefully re-read T.K.'s post again. It provides a more accurate description.
NFW is a different type of cloth, not "another option" as inadequately advertised.
