Hi guys,
I am going to London this weekend for a fitting and while I am there i wanted to have a look at some fabric store, hopefully they have some Vintage fabrics like Rubinacci. Any ideas, where i could go? Obviously I want to buy, Rubinacci doesn't just sell the fabric

Dear Philippebrenn,
although there are some cloth stores left on Berwick Street in the Soho, their offer is very limited, and they certainly won't have what you are looking for. I went there several times - if you are really out for depression, I can recommend it warmly. You might be more lucky in Italy.
My advice: become either a Rubinacci client or participate in Cloth Club subscriptions here on the LL...
Michael promised some news for the coming days, so watch out.
Cheers, David

That being said, the W.Bill basement might tick some of the boxes, depending on what you're looking for...

Thanks davidhuh, I guess Rubinacci would also be my favorite choice, but 4500€ is quite a lot of money for a 27 year old guy. Also like to eat...
LL Cloth Club definitely also a great choice, looking forward to it...

Dear Philippebrenn,
I get your point and agree... We all need to eat before getting dressed
There is also this thread where you find a lot of good advice regarding cloth you actually can buy today, either direct from the mills or via your tailor in London:

On top of Cloth Club, I made good experiences with Bookster recently (

They have a nice selection, especially in tweeds, good prices in my eyes, and very speedy delivery.
cheers, david

Did you order cloth from Bookster, or a coat?

Dear Rogiercreemers,
I ordered cloth swatches, (many), then cloth twice. I would never order a finished garment online, as my tailor needs to eat
