Dear members,
I am coming to Brussels next week. Does any-one know where can I find there a good seelection of Simonnot-Godard mouchoirs and pochettes for sale?
Any houses of sartorial interest there? The only shops I do recollect well in Brussels were Crossword and John Braye.
Thanks everyone.
Best,
Luis

Brussels is something of a sartorial desert. Degand, further up north on ave Louise from Crossword, are considered to be one of the better retailers, with in-house tailoring on the top floor. Caveat: if you don't sport a fake tan (and your female companion is not a fake blonde with a fake tan and silicone implants), you might feel a bit out of place at Degand. Unless you are based deep in the sticks, you won't find anything in Brussels that you wouldn't elsewhere.
As for S-G stuff, both shops carry them. Lovely cloth in attractive colours. The only problem is that the hand-rolled edges of the ones I have seen were atrocious; they looked like someone did them with their toes.
I'm happy to be corrected on any and all of the above, which would mean excellent news.

Actually, if you are in the market for gloves, you may want to visit Ganterie Italienne at Galerie de la Reine. The wife is front of house, and the husband makes the gloves, both for stock and bespoke, downstairs.

Dear Shredder,
thank you for the tip re. glove maker. There is also a shirt and pyjama maker on Rue du Trône, corner Chaussée de Wavre I believe. Is he any good? I never had the opportunity to go there during business hours.
Best regards, David
