I'm not sure if this is the correct area for this and if its not I apologise and hope the site admins will move it.
In the 70s an English actor called Lewis Collins rose to fame first by playing a very clothes conscious womanizer in a sitcom then a tough secret agent. I remember him saying of his secret service role "my image in this series is as a scruff but at home I have wardrobes full of beautiful clothes. I still have contacts in the tailoring trade".
I've just discovered that in the 60s he was employed on Savile Row as a tailor's assistant or apprentice. I would be curious to know for which house. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to go about finding out? apart from the obvious of course.
Thanks.
