Any ideas, friends??

Here comes Summer around once again and just as inevitably thoughts turn to hot weather, beaches, sand, and shaking off the Winter doldrums, and many other nice and good things all around.

I am thinking that I need a nice leather (pleather?) sandal for strolling around in my varied tailored ensembles in some unknown, imagined Mediterranean seaside resort which I may, or may not, be going to this summer. Still...

...it’s best to be prepared.

Not a poolside sandal. Not a rubber flip flop. Nothing for the beach.

But rather a sandal which works with tailoring, which one can stroll around in day and night, and doesn’t cause blisters between the big toe and the index toe. Or elsewhere.
I am sure that you have all experienced this painful malady and really none of these idiot shoe designers seem to care, but WTF, that’s a story for another time.

Any ideas??

TIA.

I was thinking of something along the lines of these Margarita Howell’s which are really quite nice with the crepe souls:

She and I seem to be on the same wave length. Her summer collection is well....decide for yourself.

I doubt this is helpful but I love my Aldens and suede espadrilles in high summer:

Dear uppercase , check photos from you only live twice , where SC is wearing a very nice pair of dark brown sandals with tailored clothing .... its a very inspiring outfit for hot weather .
I get mine here http://www.melissinos-art.com/eng/sandals.html

So did Johm Lennon , Jeremy Irons , Jackie ..and a few others ...! They are good quality and make and you can get them to be as dark brown as u wish by simly applying olive oil on using a cloth ! Now i dont know about fit as i ve always ordered mine , but it should be quite standard .
cheers
