So DB sports coats get the thumbs up if:
-they are solid color
-cloth is for Summer?
Yes.
I made a few DB suits in various shades of linen over the years: off white, cream, sand, tan, light gray, light blue and navy blue. You can wear as suits or mix coats with the various trousers. If you were to pick three, then cream, light gray and navy blue would be a good choice.
Cheers
Michael

Some are nice, some are... just there for diversity
Got thinking about
nothing new. What about goretex for raining locations? Some will think what a terrible thought. But, someplaces it would be practical. That kind of fabric brings in a whole new range of cuttings we've never seen before. Back to the Future movie shows a garment that dries by its self. When you live in a wet climate you wonder how those things can be incorporated into old style garments. Maybe it is not worth the thought. Maybe these new things belong in new styles of garments.

Everything fits in that picture. Coat and trousers go together. The colors. Even the hair cut. The proportions of the coat and trousers to the body that is wearing it. That is a very good image.

Here is my take at "sports double breasted":
Today was the first warm and sunny day of Spring, so Jack and I went out for a walk in our favourite park. Cashmere knitwear is hard to get bespoke, so I feel lucky when I find RTW that I like so much.
Jack says "hello" to all LL-ers who remember him.
