First posting, so hello! Just registered a few days ago and I'm already overwhelmed by the body of knowledge here...
I recently put my name down for 4 meters of the Windsor tweed from the Cloth Club selection. I've done a search here and elsewhere and there seems to be a consensus that 4 meters is sufficient for a two piece suit. Would this still hold true for a larger fellow? I'm 6'2" and wear a size 48 suit RTW. Also, the larger size of the pattern concerns me. Do you think 6 meters would be more appropriate then?
And if I want to make another pair of trousers, would 2.5 meters suffice if I have a 38" waist and 36" inseam?

Meters of Cloth for SB/DB Suit?
Hi Fac
Welcome to the LL.
I suggest you print the picture of the TW15 and take it to your tailor and ask his advice. If you do not have a tailor yet to ask, I think 6 meters is plenty for a 2 piece suit with extra trousers. And 4m is fine for a 2pc given your size and the size of the pattern. If you have cloth left over you can make a cap or a waistcoat. If you do not have enough...you are stuck.
Cheers

My dimensions are even a bit larger than yours and I tend to order the following:
6 meters for a 3 piece vested
8 meters for a 4 piece suit
7 meters for a 2 piece suit plus an extra trouser (especially due to the windowpane involved)
If you have a bit of left over...make a driving or 8 piece cap out of it .

Thank you both. I haven't decided on a tailor yet. I really like the cap idea though. Can you recommend any hat makers who will work with a customer's fabric? Thanks in advance.
Contact Alden as to the cap...ask him much cloth does his hat maker need?
