duke's blazer

Ever since I have seen this image of the duke somewhere in the lounge I have been wondering what fabric his blazer is made of. Does anyone know have a rough idea what it might be?

OP, it looks like a light flannel to me -- but that could be the distortion of an inferior computer monitor.

Yes, it looks pretty bulky - and I feel hot just considering that, judging by the palm tree and his likely age, he was probably wearing that in the Bahamas.
