Here's an interesting exchange with The Sartorialist Guy all over this guy's jacket.
But which woman is right?

Sart, you can try to throw challenges out with photos like this there and provocative captions, but we know that aberrations such as short coats you picture, are temporary.
Women like classically elegant men who are not too too fashion but more solid.
These little birds that fly from fashion to fashion are not particularly masculine nor attractive.
Sorry.

Wow
what a wonderfully narrow point of view
Maybe you should say that YOU like less "fashiony" men because I would be surprised if you speak for all women
sorry

Yes Sart, I as a woman enjoy fashionable guys, and love non classically elegant men,
Some of us are tired of classical non risky, non imaginative men outfits, and I really prefer a guy making misatakes being too bold than taking no risk

Is this guy's coat really so short?

I think the coat is too short for my taste, but not bad enough to take it into absurd territory. To me, it is only "silly fashionable" instead of "idiotic fashionable". But it is short enough to draw attention to its shortness, taking it out of the realm of style and into the cartoon land of fashion.Anonymous wrote:Here's what the last woman poster said:

dopey
I have time for genuinely "modern" takes on fashion from time to time - on the right man, in the right circumstance.
I find the whole Thom Browne/Michael Bastian look that the Sartorialist pushes really tiresome. Surely by now he's gotten over the colossal brilliance and originality of the idea that their designs are "classic, but with a twist".
In other words, they're neither traditionally appropriate, nor creative and avante-garde. Just...dull.
Best,
EB

Perfectly Cut?

Personally I wouldnt like to date a man that holds his Gucci wallet so tightly to his chest. I would love to know where this woman is based. It must be wonderful to be bored with classically dressed men. All I see around me are young men in track suits and jeans with frayed ends.Anonymous wrote:
